fluent360 and Nissan North America receive honors at the 2022 American Advertising Federation Mosaic Awards

 

fluent360, a leading agency shaping the multicultural marketing industry, is the recipient of the 2022 Mosaic Award in the category of Talent and Suppliers in Advertising on behalf of Nissan North America.

The winning campaign, Next Up, was created for client Nissan North America and launched during Black History Month. The goal was to create original branded content that gives dimension to the untold stories of Black innovators who are impacting American culture in the fields of science, technology, engineering, arts and mathematics (STEAM).

“Historically, African Americans have had an immense influence on American music,” said Allyson Witherspoon, US Chief Marketing Officer at Nissan Motor Corporation. “Many of our favorite songs are powered by African American sound engineers and tech professionals who bring the artist’s vision to life. By making these innovators a central part of the campaign, we are recognizing their masterful work.”

Partnering with Grammy Award-winning hip-hop producer Just Blaze, Next Up set out to find the next great producer. Up-and-coming producers Noelle Marie, Trey B and King Fresh were chosen to collaborate with Just Blaze in developing their craft and working to garner a fanbase within the hip-hop community. The selected producer got the chance to create the original song for Nissan, “Driving the Beat.”
